The Dropkick

For many boys growing up during the early 1990s and the early 2000s, watching professional wrestling was one of the greatest family pastimes. By wrestling, we don’t mean the competitive wrestling we see in high school or the olympics, but the wrestling that was more of a scripted theatrical performance.

Perhaps the most iconic move was the dropkick, where the wrestler would make their body horizontal in the air and launch themselves at the opponent with a two feet kick before landing dangerously onto the ring. Practicality would prove that this move is not the best move when it comes to real hand to hand combat, but it sure looks cool when someone pulls it off.
