Slipping Low

There is a reason boxing is not considered a complete martial art. Compared to MMA or kickboxing, it has many more holes in a no holds barred match. These 3 styles are different for a glaring reason. In boxing, one does not have to worry about kicks or takedowns. With the addition of kicks, slipping and footwork becomes different in order to avoid these deadly strikes.

For MMA, the footwork changes even more with the addition of takedowns and small 4 oz gloves. Slipping too low can be very dangerous as you could slip right into a kick. One should never get cocky as a single kick or even a punch can change the outcome.
